Making whatever comes to mind :)
a film about friendship.
a film about friendship.
You don't need a lot of friends to be happy. You just need the right ones. Spent a week with 6 of my favorite people in San Diego, and I wouldn't trade it for anything else.

Life of a Graphic Designer
Переглядів 346 тис.3 роки тому
I hate Graphic Design. For some context I am a Freelancer. For many people, being a graphic designer is a dream job that is fun, flexible overflowing with creativity.. but that doesn’t mean you get to make what you want all the time. In this video I talk about many reasons that deter me away from being a graphic artist: stress, communication, creative freedom and more. Should I stop being a gra...

I gave up, Cannot do this shit anymore. Worst career in this world
i am a certified hater in internet comments. But this video is very good and you are very well spoken. No mumbo jumbo very swag.
Well said!
Can u tell if i have only phone to record 😅 how can i play music while recording video 😢😢
"You're a graphic designer, you have the magic touch" - this shit terms are frequently used by shitty arab clients & boss in UAE
What wditing software do you use?
which phone is that
Graphic design is a terrible career choice. 95% of companies are boring, lame and run by old boomers who wouldn't know cool if it punched them in the face. Ad agencies are basically the same, you can never do anything cool or trendy or different or weird b/c the client will be scared away. And you will never hear any of this insider info in school. 5% of the top companies do cool stuff but good luck competing against 5,000 other designers who want to work there. Getting hired is also a joke. The racism, sexism and ageism in the industry is also rampant and there is no rhyme or reason to who gets the jobs. I've seen CDs, hiring managers and current employees with terrible portfolios. It's a complete joke.
This is decreasing the quality of video. What to do?
Was a Graphic designer for 13 years and now a Motion Designer for 5 years I've really gotten to the point it's now just a job and planning my escape from the whole industry. 'READ MY MIND' That is exactly how it is with a client. Can you tell me what I'm thinking, I will tell you when you're right. Basically every client ever. I guess we all can't be famous like David Carson :(
That was dynamite dance break i am totally in love with it❤😊
Girl, your first transition was soo cool kinda rap.. I mean made very well but wondering no enough view for the creativety level how better the video came out
The thing is that I don’t have enough space in my house for dancing 😢
After 10+ years, I have accepted I don’t like graphic design job, getting rejected on daily basis because EVERYONE has their (bad) suggestions and last minute changes on every single font and color
The problem with graphic design is that it's too subjective. There are too many cooks in the kitchen and everyone thinks they know what's right when in fact everything is subjective and there is no right or wrong.
This was super helpful, thank you!
Moving the camera is a way to disrespect the choreographer work.
It's so cooool!
hi very nice job, well done with the editing and all of that and btw, what are you using to record yourself like that, you holding something, but where is your camera, i mean how can the camera stay in the air?...thanks
Dynamite dance break tho slaayy ✨🕺💅🏻
It's really cool to see how you put so much effort into every video :) I love how you always leave a good message to take away
Nice
"the power of friendship" 🥰
Perfect video, funny and poetic af!
Also Marky is so funny and cute honestly
great vibes!
Which software you are using?
I recently graduated with a graphic design degree and I genuinely think I chose the wrong path. I haven't even gone out in the industry yet but from my experiences in school the thought of spending my entire career in such a grinding, mentally draining and honestly soul-sucking profession is honestly such a depressing thought. Great video though, I can definitely appreciate someone being honest about their experiences ✌
But still we need someone right to hit the play button for song at right moment..how can we do it by our own 🤔
Some days ago a friend told me he got "my son can do this in Canva" from his client. I can't sleep thinking about that shit. What tf are we still doing here
Which lense you have used for this video !!!!
can i wear mask and dance??
Saw this after im done recording im too tired 😭
i have a doubt which app do you use for editing it which has this scale and position options
hey, in which university do you study ?
Omg I live in Seattle I hope u like it it's so beautiful ❤
As in many creative or artistic jobs, the issue is that most people do not have a good (trained) eye/ear/etc or sense of what's good/bad, but at the same time refuse to accept that you are an expert, because they think it's something "easy that everyone can do". And most organizations are also so afraid to do something new and think outside of the box, while at the same time having insane expections and requirements, that everything just becomes the same, and your job's more about pleasing and constantly adjusting than it is about anything remotely creative. I think it's because of my own experience working in creative and artistic fields (as a freelancder) that the times I worked with a graphic designer, I've really given them full creative freedom to create. They always came up with really cool stuff that in turn inspired me again!
You dance without music and then add it while editing video??
Which gimbal do you use? Will it track motion?
It's not that difficult to be a designer. Work with like-minded clients and people, set boundaries and budgets and create what you feel is best, and stand by it. I always try to work with clients who understand design and the importance of design. If they don't have experience, then lead by example because we are the professionals and not them. I always preface my first meetings with new clients like this... "Don't get emotionally attached to any one design, because it's not about you, it's about your customers. As a designer, I communicate your business to them. Not to you. Your customers will buy your services or products because of a design and the inherent value. Not you. So... Trust me... I know what I'm doing." Take the lead, let them know your design is about growing their business and not just putting lipstick on a pig.
I might be too cynical here… But do people really expect to work 100% on what they like and get paid? I have no issue with it being 50%. Still better than most jobs.
To much barking and lowst work
I think this is what leads me to freelancing too. If a client is already not abiding by my.methods and process irs best they look somewhere else, etc. And definitely only working with certain people who love your specific aesthetic and ethics. I do know this burnout very well as someone who freelance just doing minor freelance stuff. I put up more boundaries and not afraid to say no. I haven't worked on a corporate position or agency. I can only imagine how wild that could be with endless revisions and clients who aren't appreciative 😢
What phone are you using?
Nope I'm overwhelmed, have zero imagination (literally - aphantasia) and... I don't even have clients yet. I get block just with classes and my associate degree is over 40k :( Yes thank you private design college with *no* alumni/job support unlike the nearest major competitors listed in GDUSA.
I can hit my clients head with a baseball bat. I’m that much stressed. Doing same deisgn all day today over and over. 🥵 still not finished
Step one, get a friend
❤️🙂👊
